VeinWave Laser Therapy
VeinWave is the new, ultra-fine laser that is ideal for treating the smallest spider veins; spider veins that are too small to treat with Sclerotherapy. The VeinWave Laser delivers a microburst of heat through a hair-thin, insulated probe that is inserted between the skin and the vein. Once in place, a microburst of energy heats the vein causing the blood in the vein to coagulate and the vein to collapses. The collapsed vein is then gradually absorbed into the body and the offending vein disappears. This process is called thermocoagultion.
Thermocaogulation is a safe, minimally invasive technique used to treat very fine thread or spider veins on the face, neck, arms and other parts of the body. This is a great option for the tiny spider like veins of small telangiectasias and cherry angiomas or superficial veins which 0.3mm and smaller in diameter. The VeinWave Laser is used to treat spider veins that are too small to treat by Sclerotherapy.
Quick and Painless
After cleaning the injection site, your specialist will use a very fine, insulated needle to administer the treatment sub-epidermally, below the top layers of skin, but without piercing the vein. Tiny veins are destroyed and disappear quickly. Most procedures take between 10- 15 minutes to perform. Neither bandages nor compression stockings are required following the procedure. Because the VeinWave procedure uses an ultra-fine needle, there is virtually no pain during the procedure other than a brief pin-prick.
There is no downtime associated with the VeinWave procedure. You will resume their normal activities immediately after your VeinWave procedure. You will see results immediately as tiny veins close and begin to disappear, but the full results will continue to improve over the following week as the old veins are absorbed by the body. Treatment of spider veins with the VeinWave system is permanent: once your veins are treated successfully with the VeinWave system, you will no longer be bothered by them.
VeinWave laser has some advantages over other procedures used to treat fine spider veins and telangiectasia, including; No downtime, less pain, faster results, and less bruising than most other treatments. It gives us the ability to treat the very smallest spider-like veins. However, it is important to note that VeinWave is an effective treatment only for very fine, threadlike veins.
