We are happy to announce the opening of our new Prosthetics department here at University Vascular located within our vascular clinic on the Oconee Connector. This new service will provide an efficient and effective way to provide an optimal continuum of care for our patients that require amputation surgery. These individuals will be given the opportunity to speak with our prosthetist Matthew Nelson before or soon after the amputation surgery to discuss what to expect in the future related to prosthetics. Mr. Nelson comes to our clinic with almost 30 years of experience in the field. He will help guide our patients through the recovery process eventually fitting them with a prosthesis when appropriate.
